Mode of Action
Mode of Action: JAGTAP [Forchlorfenuron (C.P.P.U.)] is a cytokinin-like plant growth regulator that stimulates chlorophyll biosynthesis, cell division, and cell expansion. CPPU (N-(2-Chloro-4-pyridyl)-N’-phenyl urea), a new synthetic phenyl urea derivative of cytokinin, promotes plant growth by inhibiting cytokine oxidase, a cytokine activity regulator. It is combined with natural auxins to promote cell division and lateral growth in plants.
